Kwese tv is a subsidiary of economic media groups. Kwese tv  is the latest challenger to Dstv monopoly of satellite pay TV with its offer of premium and exclusive content in news, entertainment, sports and lifestyle. The company says that it is on a mission to provide affordable, premium content to audiences across Africa via Pay TV, Free-to-Air TV, and Digital platforms.

Kwese TV is among the pioneer of the pay as you watch TV package where viewers can subscribe to premium packages with the  three days, weekly or monthly subscriptions. The three days subscription plan cost N960, the weekly plan cost N1,850 while the monthly plans cost N6,275. This gives it a major advantage over Dstv as the Dstv premium plan comes at a monthly subscription of N11,000.

The dish, decoder and installation comes at a cost of N10,960 with a full month subscription of the premium bouquet. The decoder comes with satellite cable port, an AV Out, an Ethernet cable slot, a USB slot, a power supply outlet and an HDMI cable output.

The decoder is PVR compatible which enables viewers to record their favorite shows and events albeit with the aid of a hard drive. The decoder is HD compatible, meaning you can get High Definition channels which is ideal in this era of HD quality channels. The remote control is quite ok and does all the standard functions.

TV content is always the major attractions of satellite pay TV kwese tv does comparatively well in this area with 60+ stations with kwese tv focusing more on sports and entertainment stations which is very good because this has always been DSTV major strength. Kwese sports has exclusive right  to broadcast NBA which is great news for basketball fans.

Kwese TV also has exclusive rights to the forthcoming 2018 FIFA world cup in Russia which is massive as viewers will be able to watch the 64 matches live other broadcasting rights include Brazilian football, the Spanish Copa Del Rey, La Liga, the UEFA Nations League and the Premier League. It was so important for kwese tv to show some premier league matches as this is the most popular league in Nigeria although kwese tv still has a long way to go in acquiring the full rights.

AMC Series with documentary stations such as CBS Reality, Fox Life and Discovery Science, with some of popular channels such as Nat Geo CORE and Nat Geo WILD. For the latest news in the world kwese tv offers premier news channels like SkyNews, BBC World News, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg and ChannelsTV. Music lovers can enjoy the latest music from this channels revolt, trace africa, box Africa and many more. Kwese also has some religious stations such as Islam tv, dove tv and ewtn.

Kwese tv has started with all this beautiful value for money tv content which most consumers hope will bring to end Dstv monopoly to  ensure fair value for money. Kwese tv might not have as much tv channels as Dstv but it is a recommended satellite TV for everyone.
