I remember when GSM came into Nigeria most people were eager to get a phone,phones like Nokia 3310,Motorola C115,Sagem,Ericsson e.t.c was the real deal back then.These mobile phone were awesome but they had a little snag,and what was these snag its very simple there were no means of transferring your contact to your new phone.

So what was the best way to transfer your contacts then,I believe you already have an idea of what I’m trying to say.Transferring your contacts then was a very stressful thing to do you have to manually write down endless amount of names, phone numbers and other information on a note book “believe me because I did it”.

With the introduction of smart phones these task has become very easy because they do most of the work. And for the most part it can be accomplished in a very small amount of time.

Now what if you were using an IPhone and you just got yourself a new android what will be the best way to transfer your contact from your IPhone to your android.No need to worry we are going to give you the easiest way check them out below.


Using an android phone means that you have to set up a Google account without the Google account the transfer will not work.After you are done setting up your account,you take your Iphone and navigate to the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” section of your Settings menu.The you press the ADD ACCOUNT button and select the Gmail option and enter your details.

You will then receive a notification on your Iphone asking you which parts of your Google account you’d like to sync.Make sure it’s your contact you have selected,then watch as the magic takes place as your Iphone and Android starts syncing contact.

It may take a while for it to be completed if you have a lot of contact and make sure your internet connection remains active while syncing your contacts.once the syncing has been completed you are good to go,so just take your Android phone and login your Google information.


If you don’t want to use the syncing method then you will find this other way interesting. If you have iCloud enabled on your iPhone, this method should take no time at all just follow these basic steps.

  1. On your iPhone, go to your Settings app and select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”.
  2. Go to Settings – iCloud and turn on “Contacts”.
  3. Your contacts will upload to Apple’s cloud services shortly.
  4. Now use a browser to go to and log in with your Apple ID.
  5. Select “Contacts” and then click on the gear icon in the lower-left corner.
  6. Click on “Select all”.
  7. Click on the gear again and select “Export vCard”.
  8. When the .vcf file downloads, you can either import that file to your Google Contacts or straight to your phone.
  9. If you want to use Google Contacts, just go to and click on “Import” and then “Go to old contacts”. Click on the “More” button and select “Import”. Select the file and you are done.
  10. To import the .vcf file directly to your new smartphone, just get the file into your phone using any methods such as transferring via a microSD card or by hooking up your phone to your PC. Once the file is on your device, you simply open your Phone app and tap on the menu button. There should be an option to “Import/export”. Select the file and be on your way.


Using ITunes is very easy all you need is your computer,you have to connect your phone to your computer,Open iTunes and navigate to the device screen by clicking “iPhone” in the upper right-hand corner.Click on the info tab then check the box “Sync Contacts with.” Choose “Google Contacts then you enter your Google details.

After all this has been completed and the syncing process is done,you can login with your android phone with your Google details to check if your contact has been transferred.
