On some devices you access this function through the power button, press and hold Power off to bring up an option to restart in Safe mode.

When your device is in safe mode open the settings menu and select “APP”, this will take you to the downloaded apps on your device.At this point you will definitely know when your phone started misbehaving because of the app you downloaded.

If you don’t know the app,go through the list and check for any app you haven’t installed on you device or shouldn’t be running.

After identifying the app open the app info page and click uninstall, this is all you need to do to remove the virus.

If you are not able to click on uninstall it means the virus has given itself device administrator status without you doing it,the next step is to go to your security setting and locate device administrator section,in these area you need to check the apps that have administrator status.

Simply untick the box of the app you want to remove, then tap deactivate on the next screen. After completing the task you will have to return to the app menu to uninstall the app.

Now that you have gotten rid of the virus the next thing to do is to restart your phone or tablet to take it out of safe mode.

It is advisable that you install an antivirus on you device to protect you it from future attacks.

DON’T INSTALL APPS OUTSIDE GOOGLE PLAYSTORE

Most times we download apps which are not from google play store which is not ideal for your device.To prevent an unknown app from entering your device you need to disable the option unknown source which can be found in security settings.

AVOID CLONED APPS

Avoid downloading what appear to be cloned apps from unknown developers, or apps that simply don’t do what they say they do.

CHECK APP PERMISSION

Never allow an app device admin permission, which prevents it being deleted. No matter from where you are installing an app, check its required permissions before hitting Install.

UPDATE YOUR ANDROID OS

Make sure your device has the latest operating system,there is a possibility that the latest version will not be available for you device but always make sure that it is as up to date as it can be.
