Gionee mobile phones has become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian market.Since the launch of their S series brand they are really setting the market ablaze with this model.

Now they are back with another one called the Gionee S9, The new S9 device from Gionee that is just 7.4mm thick and weighs 166.5 grammes is a successor to the Gionee S8 moniker with some upgrade in most critical areas like; the screen sizes, dual camera setups, and fast chipset for better performance.

DISPLAY AND CAMERA

The Gionee S9 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display covered with 2.5D curved glass. The phone has a display resolution of 1920 * 1080 (Full HD) just like its predecessor Gionee S8 and it has an all-metal design with round edges.

In terms of camera, Gionee is joining the wave the dual camera makers with impressive camera combo slammed on the new S9 smartphones. You might also be tempted to assume they got the dual camera concept from the iPhone 7 devices.

The Gionee S9 will come with a 13MP and 5MP dual rear cameras coupled with a dual-tone LED flash for super mobile photography. It also sports a 13MP camera at the front for taking selfies.

 

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

Gionee has always used Helio processor instead of Snapdragon one. As this is going to be a flagship device, they would like to have a high-class processor in the phone which can deliver them the good result.

The Gionee S9 is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The device will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.2 layered on top, with an upgrade to Andriod 7.0 Nougat expected to hit the operating system as soon as possible.

OTHER FEATURES

Embedded right under the back camera is a fingerprint sensor which can be used to unlock the smartphone using biometric verification. There will be different colors in which the GioneeS9 phone will be launched you have the black, and the most popular for such devices gold and rose gold.

The Gionee S9 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

Gionee S9 will feature a 3000 mAh Battery which will be non-removal. According to the company, it will give 15 hours of backup in terms of the connectivity.
